In this senior position you will be responsible of a team and lead our mission to drive growth in Ticino. Your responsibilities will include overall strategic development, coordination of day-to-day sales and marketing activities, management and development of staff, and oversight of P&L.
You will lead an entrepreneurial and international business and directly influence its development and growth in the education/study abroad market in Ticino. In this highly visible role, you will assume the position of the face of a well-known and highly visible brand. We are looking for a manager who will work with the current responsible and grow into full leadership of the sales market within the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
1. Develop, execute, and support your team to meet short and long-term sales goals in the Swiss italian market.
2. Understand and beat previous year’s sales accomplishments.
3. Have knowledge of current sales trends in your markets, and always be thinking 5 steps ahead.
4. Overall responsibility for coordinating day-to-day sales activities.
Strategy
5. Analysis of your teams, sales situation, the current market, and our competitors.
6. To develop sales and marketing strategies and to then implement and evaluate tactics.
7. To contribute to the development of the dedicated product under your responsibility.
Operations
8. Responsibility for the control and monitoring of budgets as well as ensuring effective expense planning and cost controls.
9. To build up new links and maintain existing relations with schools and universities.
10. Managing time for local administrative work like invoicing, visa preparation, marketing material distributions, and so on.
11. To assist in creating marketing material and the production of it.
Staff management
12. To motivate sales teams, establishing individual and team goals and objectives.
13. Responsibility for performance management of sales coordinators, including performance reviews and development plans.
14. Identify staffing needs and execute successful recruitment campaigns.
REQUIREMENTS
15. Degree from a reputable University in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent
16. 5+ years work experience
17. A highly energetic and ambitious self-starter
18. Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of ownership
19. Tested leadership ability
20. Strong business acumen and commercial instincts
21. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
22. Fully fluent in Italian and professional in written and verbal English
Desired Skills and Experience
23. A graduate degree qualification or equivalent, preferably in sales, marketing, business, administration or a related discipline.
24. 1-2 years of team leadership experience
25. Experience living abroad
26. Master of Business Administration, strongly preferred
27. Experience in a service-oriented industry
