We are seeking a seasoned commercial leader with exceptional skills to manage and drive our partners in countries outside of the US and Europe. It is an exciting opportunity to further develop Deciphera's global footprint through managing partnerships using your skills of strategic long-term planning and ability to fast execution to support the Company’s mission and strategy. To successfully perform this role, you are driven by and have a proven track record in day-to-day leadership, coordination, and management between partners and internal business.
This position will report to the Head of Partner Markets & General Manager UK, BeNeLux and Nordics and ideally be located in the Zug, Switzerland office.
What you’ll do:
* Refine and Execute Partner Market Strategy: Refine, lead, and implement the commercial strategy across the Partner Markets, ensuring alignment with the global corporate vision and objectives, including Business Development opportunities to drive growth and market expansion.
* Facilitate Knowledge Sharing: Drive strategic collaboration by promoting best practice sharing across partner markets and leveraging insights from other regions to enhance market performance.
* Expand Access: Work together with a dedicated Partner Market Access lead to improve patient access to QINLOCK in alignment with the broader Market Access strategy while developing a commercial/market access roadmap for future pipeline assets.
* Strengthen Partnerships: Build and sustain long-term, strategic relationships with our commercial partners to deliver on gross and net sales objectives, ensuring mutual success.
* Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish and foster an effective internal network—including functions like Medical, Market Access, Supply Chain, and Alliance Management—to support product positioning and operational excellence in partnership with global commercial teams.
* Onboard New Partners: Lead the onboarding process to ensure alignment with corporate standards and seamless integration into operational workflows to ultimately support business expansion.
* Financial Stewardship: Support in the development of forecasts and budgets for partner markets, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and resource optimization.
Qualifications:
* University degree, MBA or PhD in science and/or economics preferred.
* 7+ years of proven commercial experience, including across country roles in the Emerging Markets (LATAM, Middle East, Central Eastern Europe, Asia).
* Experience in leading products (preferred in Oncology) to market from both commercial and marketing aspects; and experience in driving the business through developing and maintaining strong partner relationships.
* Strong learning agility and ability to engage in-depth across multiple disease areas.
* Clear ability to work across cultures, languages, and geographies and willingness to travel frequently, as the business requires.
* Understand biotech-specific trends, product lifecycle, and how to deal with a competitive environment.
* Proven ability in positioning and developing global business based on niche and innovative products and pipeline.
* Excellent communicator with an emphatic approach to partners. Sharp commercial acumen and hunger for business success.
* Global mindset in line with Deciphera's PATHS values.
* Strong social, communication, and adaptability skills.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Willingness to travel.
