JOB SUMMARY:
As a Strategic Initiatives Senior Manager at Ascent, you will be responsible for creating long-term value for Ascent. Your scope of work will focus on business development projects aiming at unlocking incremental value across the company’s ecosystem. This is a high-exposure managerial role that requires leadership experience and the ability to forge new types of partnerships with organizations across the globe – some of which you will have to build from the ground up. You will need to leverage a first experience in the healthcare industry, for instance in the pharma or the consulting space.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
* Evaluate Business Opportunities : Work closely with leadership to assess and prioritize new growth opportunities
* Lead Strategic Projects : Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives, including bid preparation, contract negotiations, and potential customer onboarding
* Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with teams across the organization, including finance, legal, and product teams, to identify risks and opportunities and drive project success
* Project Managemen t: Ensure timely and efficient project delivery, tracking KPIs and maintaining accountability within the team
* Engage with Key Stakeholders : Foster relationships with strategic partners, including senior leaders at pharmaceutical companies and other major stakeholders
* Team management : Overview the work and development a team of Business Development analysts
YOUR PROFILE:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
* 5-8 years of experience in healthcare or in a related field, with 1-2 years of management experience, including direct reports
* Strong project management expertise, with a background in contract negotiations
* Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with experience in managing high-performing teams
* Understanding of the U.S. health system, its different stakeholder groups, and the impact of market events on the entire ecosystem. Naturally curious and in tune with industry news and potential evolutions.
* Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and ability to thrive under pressure.
* Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities.
