For our customer, a big pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are looking for a Global Workplace Demand & Data Analyst (m/f/d).

Global Capital Investment & Real Estate (CIRE) is responsible for providing an efficient, effective, and sustainable working environment for 45,000 employees globally. This is done in various ways, from identifying and securing the right real estate solutions to developing the workplace strategy to support local functional requirements, designing office layouts, constructing facilities, and controlling and approving capital expenditure across the division in 106 countries around the world. The Workplace & Data Strategist supports the Global Lead for Workplace Experience in the delivery of best-in-class workplaces and experience strategies for our employees globally.
The perfect candidate: We are looking for a candidate who has an analytical mindset with experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research to drive strategic decisions. The ideal candidate has a few years of experience and a proven track record with workplace analytics, a data science and software engineering background, and is fluent in English.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Delivery of the real estate Demand Analysis process
This process ensures our global Real Estate portfolio is right-sized to meet the needs of the business today and tomorrow. This will include:
Engaging with local stakeholders to gather required data
Analysis of data captured to develop strategic recommendations based on sqm requirements
Review and present findings and recommendations to local stakeholders
Improve existing real estate management tools and data analysis optimizations
Monitor the data and performance of the Global Occupancy Dashboard to ensure continuous data capture to drive strategic insights and decision-making
Own the maintenance of the Global Occupancy Dashboard from the technical side, becoming a bridge between IT and the Workplace team
Manage and support the community of local site users of the dashboard to liaise with global IT to ensure continuous data capture
Drive the continuous improvement of the global tools
Ownership of the Global Portfolio Management Dashboard (Demand Analysis 3.0)
Review the data to drive proactive real estate and workplace opportunities for optimization
Own the continuous maintenance of the Global Portfolio Management Dashboard and develop improvements
Lead workshops and communications with key stakeholders to understand what’s working, what’s not, and outline recommended next steps/actions
Must Haves:
A few years of experience and a proven track record with workplace analytics, data science, and software engineering background
Previous experience leading strategic real estate portfolio planning programs and success in connecting corporate real estate and business objectives together
Proven track record handling complexity, with organizational and political astuteness to form relationships with local business stakeholders
Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills, ability to creatively negotiate requirements and experience with engaging key senior-level stakeholders
Results-oriented, business-driven, organized with attention to detail, able to translate complex data to simple and visual stories
Fluency in English is a must, another language is a plus
Experience with Python, Streamlit, and Snowflake is required, experience with all other technical tools is a plus.
