YOUR CHALLENGES
1. Develop, implement, manage and improve capacity planning process incorporating all relevant external suppliers across X-tier levels identifying the individual constraints (eg: resources, subcomponents, etc.) and providing transparency about excess/lack of capacities within the planning horizon and beyond
2. Orchestrate X-tier actions in order to handle ramp up/down scenarios of overall/individual markets or key accounts
3. Perform analysis on:
1. Forecast on component and supplier/resource level in order to indicate major developments and proactively identify potentially impacted business (volume/BU/customer/region) in order to provide the relevant basis for S&OP meetings and decisions
2. Actual demand and forecasted demand (FC accuracy on MRP result), investigate on major deviations identifying and solving root causes
3. Identifying clusters/patterns in order to optimize capacity planning/strategy
4. Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best strategy to support customer demand
5. Communicate with external suppliers if needed for coordination & clarification in terms of relevant changes of FC
6. Trigger/coordinate implementation and change of planning strategies supporting relevant counterparts (eg.: PLSCM, Category mgmt., production and materials scheduling, etc.)
7. Coordinate and work with the relevant external counterparts (suppliers) as well as internal (cross-functional) departments to ensure and optimize fulfillment of forecasted volumes and required flexibility
8. Participate as a member of operations team making cross-functional operational decisions
YOUR COMPETENCIES
1. At least 5 years’ experience in planning of customer forecast, market intelligence and/or S&OP process
2. Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
4. Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills
5. Good analytical problem-solving ability
6. Advanced analysis methods
7. Machine learning beneficial
8. Proficiency in English is required (German is a plus)
