About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to develop a new service for circular information management in the construction sector, leveraging computer vision and machine learning. This position sits at the intersection of computer science, civil engineering, and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop theoretical concepts and practical tools for the construction industry.
* Collaborate with industry and research consortium partners to advance the development of automated workflows, algorithms, and solutions.
* Explore implementation possibilities, validate, and test proposed solutions in pilot projects.
* Engage with stakeholders, including construction companies, standardization bodies, consultants, and industry partners, to promote adoption of developed tools.
* Participate in research activities, including publishing scientific papers and presenting findings at conferences and workshops.
* Supervise Master and/or Bachelor students.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, and Master's degree in Computer Science, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Environmental), or Life Cycle Assessment with strong IT skills.
* Strong research skills with an understanding of circular economy practices.
* Knowledge and experience in data analysis, database management, optimization, platform development, computer vision, and machine learning.
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Strong communication and writing skills in English, enabling effective collaboration and publication preparation.
* Fluency in spoken and written English is required; proficiency in German is beneficial.
* Able to work in a team and collaborate with industry partners.
* Results-oriented, organized, and creative individual.
