Research Objectives
We aim to develop slurries suitable for spray granulations and study their effects on ceramic precision parts. Our research focuses on:
* Studying the role of organic additives, their chemistry, and mixture on granulation process parameters and granule performance.
* Investigating the impact of powder type, size, and morphology on the chemistry-process parameter map.
Our findings will be published in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.
Your Profile
To excel in this role, you should have:
* A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* A solid background and interest in organic chemistry.
* Strong analytical skills for materials and data analysis.
* A creative scientific mindset.
* Full proficiency in written and oral English, with French being an asset.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research environments.
* Fulfillment of admission requirements for the EDMX doctoral school at EPFL.
This PhD position is fully funded by Innosuisse and offers the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Andrea Testino from PSI. The ideal candidate will start in April 2025 or upon mutual agreement.
