Project Management for Educational Events
We are seeking a skilled project manager to oversee the successful execution of our educational events. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in event management and medical events.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Event Specialists and course chairs to deliver high-quality events that meet AO's global education process and guidelines.
* Build and maintain relationships with chairpersons, faculty, and local partners to develop scientific programs and ensure smooth event execution.
* Identify and invite speakers and faculty members, working closely with course chairs to achieve this goal.
* Work with DPS DRIs on technical support, education grants, and voucher purchases.
* Generate revenue through sales and liaison with Event Specialists on budget allocation and coordination.
* Manage regional campaigns, including congress presence, booth management, and member acquisition.
* Develop local networks by engaging with partners and understanding local needs.
* Acquire new members during events and expand AO networks for education purposes.
* Collaborate with local agencies and suppliers as needed.
* Participate in annual budget planning for events within the assigned countries.
Main Requirements
* University Master or Bachelor degree in relevant fields (e.g., hospitality, event management, public relations, communications, marketing).
* Proven professional experience in project work or event management (3-5 years).
* Medical events/course organization experience is an asset.
* Strong organizational, project, and event management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
* A collaborative approach and ability to work cross-functionally across the organization.
* Fluent English and German language proficiency. Knowledge of other relevant languages is an asset.
* This is a temporary position (maternity cover until 30/09/2026).
