On behalf of our client, a mid-size company with a long tradition in Switzerland and business operations in Europe, we are looking for a dynamic Engineer (m/w/d) to join an excellent team. This role will focus on battery systems, ensuring uninterrupted power supply and compliance with industry standards. In this role, you can grow into a Project Manager role in a short time period (our client is happy to provide this opportunity).
Type: 100% (full-time job position / unlimited employment contract)
Your responsibilities:
Battery System Design & Implementation:
* Ensure compatibility with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, backup generators, and power distribution networks.
* Develop and implement battery monitoring, control, and automation solutions.
Testing, Maintenance & Performance Optimization:
* Conduct commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting of battery systems.
* Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to maximize system lifespan and reliability.
* Analyze performance data and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management:
* Ensure all electrical and battery installations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and enforce safety protocols for handling, storing, and maintaining batteries.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for potential power failures.
Technical Support & Collaboration:
* Assist in evaluating and integrating new battery technologies and energy storage solutions (customers in DACH region).
Your profile:
* Background in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field (Electrician or Automatiker).
* Experience as an electrician, power systems engineer, or automation specialist, preferably in data centers, industrial power systems, or energy storage.
* Hands-on experience with power distribution, automation, and electrical safety protocols.
* Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems and power monitoring tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment.
* Very good German and good English.
* Willingness to travel cca. 30% to customers on-site (DACH region).
