Aligned with our sustainability roadmap, energy savings are a major focus for us. Our plant needs to shift from monthly energy tracking to daily actions. As a VIE, you will be the coordinator of this change. Additionally, our Operational Excellence roadmap encourages our teams to focus on timely maintenance. This focus should also shift from monthly to daily management, with some mechanical improvements identified as part of this initiative.
Your main missions will consist in:
Managing the Energy Savings Roadmap:
* Measure and create a dashboard of actual consumption;
* Suggest projects for our roadmap;
* Manage projects focused on improvements;
Managing the Preventive Maintenance (PM):
* Measure and create a dashboard for PM;
* Analyze gaps;
* Suggest improvements for PM planning;
Supporting the Mechanical Improvement:
* Manage projects for mechanical maintenance improvement;
* Reduce equipment repair time based on PM gap analysis.
A Plus for This Role:
As a new position, this role is the perfect opportunity to showcase your flexibility and multi-tasking abilities. Your missions will be diverse, involving various topics and extensive interaction with other teams: purchasing, projects, 4.0 engineering, mechanics, automation, and more.
This is a 12-month mission, extendable 6 months.
Our plant is a small factory with, as a main benefit, all teams work in the same area meaning a lot of opportunities to share knowledge.

* You hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering (General or Mechanical);
* You have a first experience in the heavy industry sector and have developed an interest in environmental topics;
* Some knowledge of process optimization, mechanical design or lean manufacturing will be considered as an asset;
* You have a creative mindset; you are also recognized for your critical thinking abilities, analysis and syntheses skills;
* You have a strong appetite for the field work and are hands-on;
* You are able to operate as a team leader and as a member of a team;
* You’re comfortable with Excel; some exposure to PowerBI or Python are nice to have.
* You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.

Steps to join us

* You’ll have a second interview with the Maintenance, Design and Energy Manager and the local HR of the Lucens plant (on Teams)
* Then, you’ll have a final meeting which will take place at our Lucens plant; It will be the opportunity to meet with team members in person and visit the plant (this will take place on-site, in Lucens)
* If you are selected, you will receive confirmation by email and have an Onboarding Day at the Tour Saint-Gobain in Paris before your departure.

Saint-Gobain ISOVER SA is Switzerland’s first manufacturer of insulation materials made from glass wool. With its headquarters and production site in Lucens in the canton of Vaud, the company has a workforce of around 170. The firm has been working on and supporting the further development of insulation materials since its foundation in 1937, and in the process, it places a considerable focus on sustainability. ISOVER products are often key elements of energy renovations or new builds and consist of about 80% recycled glass.
