The Opportunity
The Area Sales Manager is primarily responsible for managing the assigned accounts, developing a client strategy, and achieving assigned targets.
What you'll get to do
1. Global Accounts/ Regional accounts Management: Support the Key Account Director (KAD) in the management of the local accounts. First point of contact for the Accounts for day-to-day management of the account.
2. Negotiations: Build relationships of trust with customers and work with them to maximize all aspects of business (sell-in, sell-out, investments, Retail Excellence). Lead negotiations at Account level in cooperation with KAD.
3. Targets: Achieve Sales, Profit, and qualitative targets at Sub-Market and Account level.
4. P&L and Reporting: Partial P&L responsibility in cooperation with In-store and Field Team for the assigned sub-region and Accounts. Responsible for proposing and following budgets at sub-region and Account level, potentially in cooperation with other KAM or AM. Manage the reporting (sell-in and sell-out + other KPIs) at Account and sub-region level.
5. Strategy: Propose actions and plans to ensure Puig strategy and vision (3 years plan) are implemented and reached.
6. Cooperation: Coordinate work with colleagues from other functions (Marketing, Customer Service, Retail, In-store, Field Team, etc.) to ensure account management and support is executed with high standards.
7. Forecasting: Forecast for products, POS, and GWP, monitor sell-in and usage to minimize obsolescence.
8. Retail Excellence: Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of the execution of the Retail Excellence plan.
9. Admin tasks: Ensure admin tasks (price lists, assortments, delivery of documents and other material to customers or suppliers) are executed with high quality and perfect timing.
We'd love to meet you if you have
1. Experience:
1. At least 2-4 years in sales
2. Experience in fragrance/make-up industry highly desired.
3. Experience in Travel Retail would be a plus.
4. A first experience in account management is highly desired. Ability to travel.
2. Education: Master’s degree (economics or business related).
3. Languages: English Fluent, other European languages such as French or Spanish would be a plus.
4. Competencies: Excellent written and spoken communication, proven negotiation skills, able to work independently but in a collaborative way, solution-oriented approach.
5. Specific Knowledge required: Strong interest in travel retail industry, retail trends, innovation, and passion for the fragrance/beauty and luxury industry.
