M&A Specialist (Short-term contract)
The Richemont Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) team is seeking a motivated and talented professional to support the team for 6-12 months (6 months is a minimum), reporting to the M&A Manager. The candidate will be exposed to a variety of activities that are considered strategic to Richemont.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
* Assist the M&A team in executing key corporate development projects (e.g. joint ventures, acquisitions and disposals) as well as coordinating and overseeing the related post-merger integration processes
* Support the M&A team in the review of potential investment opportunities and preparation of investment memos to inform go/no-go decisions (e.g. company profile, financials, risks, etc.)
* Prepare business plans (P&L, B/S, Cash Flows) and / or perform valuation analysis with relevant methodologies, when required in the context of a transaction
* Support the M&A team with dataroom management during due diligence processes
* Coordinating internal shareholders across regions, functions and Maisons to support the post-merger integration processes of newly acquired Maisons
* Assist the M&A team as needed to ensure preparation for important meetings, attend relevant meetings, taking minutes and documenting key outcomes and next steps
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
Experience:
- Similar corporate development role in a corporation or in investment bank / M&A boutiques, or in the “Corporate Finance/Valuation” practice in one of the “big 4” accounting firms or in a private equity
- Strategic consultancy firm with experience in commercial due diligence and/or post-merger integration
Skills:
* Attention to details
* Team-player, good relationship builder
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and with high level of autonomy
* Knowledge of Word, Excel, PPT
* Knowledge of financial statements, corporate finance and methodologies for corporate valuations
* Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in French is considered as a plus
