Job Description: Your responsibilities
You will work in a small team that supports the implementation of the CERN Open Science policy signed in 2022.
More specifically, you will take on the following responsibilities:
Design the CERN Open Science community engagement strategy, e.g. analyze the needs and gaps and define the corresponding project plan
Design and implement educational interventions to promote improved Open Science practice across the CERN community
Support concrete implementation projects of the OS Policy
Support monitoring framework for Open Science together with the community
Participate in cross-CERN initiatives to advance Open Science
Provide user/community support
Your profile
Skills
Experience with Open Science, preferably with a deep understanding of Open Science practices in a science domain
Experience with community engagement
Experience in designing and delivering educational programs/interventions
Experience with presenting at events
Experience with work in a research environment
Knowledge of physics/particle physics is an advantage
Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a member state.
You have a professional background in Electronic engineering (or a related field) and have either: Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience; or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience
You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
Additional Information
Job closing date: 7th of January 2025 at 23:59 (midnight) CET .
Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
