Laboratory Assistant R&D (w/m/d)
Dübendorf | Switzerland
In your new function you support the research and development team in the development of new products, and you manage the technical part of the research laboratory. You design new testing facilities on demand and manage their proper assembly. You assist in designing and assembling prototypes in different sizes and reliably perform measurements in collaboration with the R&D team. Additionally, you perform the daily maintenance of the laboratory and take care of the required maintenance and calibration on test rigs and measurement equipment.
You completed your training as a physics laboratory technician, electromechanic, or similar. You are familiar with the daily work in a high-tech environment and are ready to independently perform a wide variety of technical assignments. We are also looking forward to hearing your expertise and your ideas in the designing of new prototypes for the next generation of products.
Ideally you have experience in plant construction or interdisciplinary laboratory work, especially in the assembling of piping and the wiring and design of electrical equipment. Knowledge of CAD drawings and experience in programming (LabVIEW, PLC) would be advantageous.
You are resilient, able to work independently and can manage your work also when deadlines approach.
You excel in independent work and in having a highly developed technical understanding. You appreciate working in a highly interdisciplinary team of physicists, chemists, and engineers. Qualifications
* Completed training as a physics laboratory assistant, electromechanic or in a similar field
* Experience in technical laboratory environments
* Experience in plant construction or interdisciplinary laboratory work
* Knowledge in pipe assembly and electrical system cabling
* CAD knowledge
* Programming skills (LabVIEW, PLC) preferred
* Experience in prototype development and testing (preferred)
* German and English language skills
* Experience with measurement systems and test benches
* Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team with physicists, chemists, and engineers
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
