We seek a Field Application Scientist responsible for pre- and post-sales support of our Cellular Workflow Automation portfolio, providing hardware, software, reagents, and applications support to customers.
This role reports to the Cellular Workflow Business Development Manager and is part of the Cellular Workflow Automation team, working remotely across Europe.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing high-quality pre- and post-sales support to customers.
* Performing product demonstrations and supporting product evaluations, both in-house and at customer sites.
* Delivering in-depth training on our instruments, assays, and automation solutions at customer facilities.
* Conducting technical presentations and seminars at customer sites, trade shows, and workshops. Network with opinion leaders to drive adoption of Molecular Devices technologies.
* Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, Service, and R&D to increase Molecular Devices' sales, provide high-quality customer care, and contribute feedback from the field to improve existing products and develop future ones.
The essential requirements for this role are:
* Bachelor's degree in life science with 5+ years related work experience or Master's degree in life science with 3+ years related work experience or Doctoral degree, preferably with experience in culturing mammalian and microbial cells. Demonstrated strong scientific knowledge and technical ability.
* Excellent time/project management and independent problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated and independent with the ability to manage assigned territory, including travel and scheduling.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and familiar with image and data analysis software.
Prior experience in the following areas is a plus:
* Fluency in French and/or Italian.
* Demonstrated experience with lab automation and advanced scientific equipment.
* Experience in culturing 3D cell models.
This position requires up to 50% travel across Europe, including overnight stays. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
