As a Regional Product Manager Europe in our Taste & Wellbeing division, you will lead the development and commercialization of new technologies and technical programs following the segment strategy. You will become an expert in our Flavour & Taste product portfolio.
You will be based in either Kemptthal (Switzerland) or Naarden (Netherlands) and report directly to the Product and Portfolio Director Europe.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage part of our product and technology portfolio by ensuring it is relevant, profitable and aligned with our strategy.
* Become the regional subject matter expert for assigned products and technologies.
* Manage existing products, identify non-performing products and recommend deletion.
* Help deliver Sales and Gross Margin targets, working with our pricing team to define price levels.
Define Innovation Needs and Manage the Innovation Pipeline
* Lead complex innovation projects with several stakeholders in the European region, managing the complete innovation pipeline for a product segment.
* Identify business development opportunities and define innovation needs and gaps for the region.
* Collaborate with our Science & Technology department, Flavour Creation, Product Development and Marketing Managers to gather and provide business justification and local market requirements for identified innovation projects.
* Work with S+T, Operations, Regulatory and Supply Chain to resolve issues affecting product cost and supply.
Guide Commercialization of Innovation
* Develop a commercialization plan with our Marketing Director and Marketing Manager, creating customer-relevant value propositions for our product portfolio.
* Engage with local stakeholders to lead product launch in the region and identify customer opportunities.
* Support our technical group in preparing the launch of new products and technologies by developing proper training material and direct support.
Your Professional Profile
* A university-level technical background followed by marketing exposure.
* At least 5 years of experience in managing product platforms in food ingredients or flavour industry.
* Technical or B2B marketing experience in an international environment.
* Understanding of marketing strategy and principles, including commercialization of new products.
* The ability to crystallize clear messages from complex sources and data.
* An enthusiasm for analytics and numbers.
* Expertise in project management and presenting in front of partners at multiple levels.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written (other languages are advantageous).
* Experience collaborating with people from technical and innovation-related backgrounds.
* Comfortable working with different cultures and remotely.
* Open to traveling throughout the region (30% of time).
