Life Science Consultant, ETL Data Migration (Workday & Workforce Systems)
Position: Life Science Consultant, ETL Data Migration (Workday & Workforce Systems)
Location: Remote, Europe-based
Type: Full-Time
Mission:
We are seeking a skilled ETL Data Migration Consultant to support a large-scale Workday & Workforce data migration project. The consultants will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes to extract, transform, and load HR and payroll-related data across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data into Workday & Workforce.
- Optimize SQL-based transformations for efficient data handling.
- Perform data extractions from multiple sources and align with Workday/Workforce models.
- Conduct initial integration testing to ensure smooth data flow.
- Address custom integration requirements using API-based methods (if needed).
- Implement data validation and reconciliation processes post-ETL.
- Collaborate with business analysts & stakeholders to ensure data alignment.
- Troubleshoot data integrity issues and optimize SQL queries for better performance.
- Maintain detailed ETL workflow documentation and technical specifications.
- Gather stakeholder feedback to improve ETL processes.
- Recommend and implement new tools or methodologies to enhance data migration.
- Conduct training sessions for teams responsible for maintaining ETL processes.
- Provide support plans and resolution documentation for common issues.
- Ensure smooth handover of all ETL-related processes to internal teams.
Key Accountabilities:
- 5-10 years of experience in ETL development & data migration.
- Strong SQL expertise (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with Workday & Workforce integrations.
- Experience with ETL tools such as SQL-based platforms.
- Knowledge of HR & Payroll data models (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Key Competencies:
- Workday Integration certification or relevant ETL certifications.
- Experience with API-based integrations.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
