For our client, a leading international pharmaceutical company with modern offices in the canton of Lucerne, we are currently looking for an EHS Specialist (m/f/d), to start immediately for the next 9 months for maternity coverage.
Depending on the performance and motivation, the possibility of an extension is given.
Job Description
The EHS Specialist (m/f/d) will support the EHS group during the maternity leave of one employee.
The role involves managing specific environmental, health and safety programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and our client's internal rules, by carrying out the following task areas:
* Updates EHS policies per Swiss and EU standards; ensures 100% compliance.
* Maintains environmental records and responds to regulatory changes.
* Conducts risk assessments and manages incident investigations.
* Updates emergency response plans and manages corrective actions (CAPAs).
* Delivers EHS training and leads awareness campaigns.
* Conducts safety inspections, self-assessments, and manages CAPAs.
* Provides EHS oversight for new projects and construction supervision.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must have:
* Successfully completed bachelor's and/or master's degree in an environmental or safety-related technical discipline.
* 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Documented knowledge of Swiss and EU EHS regulations and regulatory framework.
* Certification as Swiss AS&GS (Arbeitssicherheit & Gesundheitsschutz) or equivalent.
* Solid German skills, as well as very good English skills.
* Experience in financial management, compliance, and safety management systems.
* Skills applying regulatory frameworks such as EKAS, OSHA, ISO, GMP.
* Proven ability to develop sustainable cooperative professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
