Role Overview Join Nexoom as our Senior Accountant and become an integral part of our finance team.
The role can be a part-time position with a 60%-80% schedule to begin with.
You'll play a crucial role in maintaining financial stability across our multinational entities, overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with tax and mercantile obligations, and providing essential financial insights to senior management.
Your responsibilities will include processing financial statements, bank reconciliations, and optimizing treasury processes to support our evolving business needs.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of bookkeeping, corporate taxation, and accounting principles within Spain (Local Code) and Switzerland (Local Code & Swiss GAAP FER), IFRS, good organizational skills, and working knowledge of accounting and ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Business Central) with experience in group consolidation.

Responsibilities Manage daily accounting activities, utilising analytical or cost accounting methods, to ensure adherence to tax and mercantile obligations.
Provide analytical support, forecasting, and reporting, including the preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for senior management.
Ensure correct monthly closure of accounting books.
Recommend policy and procedure changes to enhance financial performance and mitigate risks.
Process and prepare financial statements in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
Conduct audits on financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Maintain continuous communication with the AP department and with the manager, a part of the external advisors.
Report and address any discrepancies identified during financial analysis or auditing.
Identify, design, and propose solutions and emerging technologies to streamline treasury processes and reporting.
Propose and implement initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction in financial operations.
Your Skills and Experience Minimum of 4 years of finance experience in a similar role, ideally within the digital media, streaming, or gaming industries.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, or similar will be valued.
Proficiency in corporate accounting, taxes, and social security regulations.
Familiarity with IFRS, Spanish, and Swiss Local Code, and Swiss GAAP FER standards (knowledge of accounting rules and standards in additional countries would be considered as a big plus).
Experience in group account consolidation.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Office tools (emphasis on Excel skills), Slack, and Google Suite.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in English and German. Fluency in Spanish will be valued.
