Job Description
Our Activity Leaders are responsible for delivering fun and engaging activities and excursions to a group of international students, following Alpadia’s innovative approach to language immersion and experiential learning. You will be working closely with other Activity Leaders and Teachers, ensuring our students have a meaningful, adventurous time in camp, full of learning and personal growth, while offering your expert supervision and safety. Additionally, you’ll take an active role in the day-to-day operations of camp via attendance checks, helping out during wake-ups and bedtime, and leading camp-wide Evening Programs.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
* Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity
* Some German proficiency (spoken B1-B2 minimum), ability to learn activity-specific vocabulary to ensure language immersion
* Fluency in English
* High physical, mental and emotional resilience
* Experience in meaningful, professional teamwork
* High energy level, excitement and comfort speaking in front of large groups
* Availability for 5 weeks of the summer (June 28-August 3)
Desired Criteria
* Fluency in German and English
* Experience in outdoor education or summer camps
* Driver’s License, and ability to drive a minivan
* Availability for the entire summer season (June 21 – August 9) and during staff training in Berlin (June 16-20)

Miscellaneous:
* This is a residential position with accommodation provided on site
* All staff employed will be required to provide / undergo an Enhanced DBS check (and provide overseas conduct certificates where applicable)
