Our client is a leader in its specific industrial sector. With a presence across the globe, the company is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to meet the needs of their clients. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Investor Relations to lead and execute their investor relations strategy during this critical pre-IPO phase and beyond. This is a high-visibility role, reporting directly to the CFO, and will play a critical role in shaping the company's narrative to potential investors, analysts, and stakeholders.
Job Description
1. Lead the investor relations strategy throughout the IPO process, ensuring the company's positioning is aligned with investor expectations.
2. Collaborate with internal teams, investment banks, and external advisors to support IPO documentation, roadshows, and investor presentations.
3. Utilize your background in equity research and corporate finance to engage with investors and analysts, providing insights into the company's performance, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
4. Develop clear, compelling investor communications including quarterly earnings reports, press releases, financial presentations, and key messaging to articulate the company's growth strategy, financial outlook, and investment case.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and other key stakeholders.
6. Be the primary point of contact for the investment community, addressing inquiries and providing ongoing updates.
7. Develop and refine the company's narrative and investment story in collaboration with the executive team, ensuring that it is consistent, transparent, and aligned with business objectives.
8. Lead and participate in investor roadshows, conferences, and one-on-one meetings, presenting the company's story and engaging with potential investors and analysts.
9. Willingness to travel to meet with global investors is required.
10. Work closely with the finance team to develop and refine financial models, providing insights on company valuation and performance metrics to the investor community.
11. Leverage your experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to support the communication and integration of any M&A activity, ensuring investors are well-informed on the strategic and financial rationale behind transactions.
12. ESG knowledge and previous experience would be a plus.
The Successful Applicant
1. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in investor relations, equity research, corporate finance, or M&A, preferably within industrial or capital-intensive sectors.
2. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is required. An MBA, CFA, or other advanced finance qualification is a plus.
3. Proven track record of managing investor relations functions, with experience in IPO processes and capital markets. Experience in public company investor relations is a plus.
4. Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and capital markets. Ability to effectively communicate financial data to investors and analysts.
5. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including investors, analysts, executives, and board members.
6. Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into a compelling investment narrative.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including stakeholder management in a matrix organization.
8. Positive drive and the ability to achieve results.
9. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
10. Fluent in English.
