Securities Specialist - Custody Settlement
This is a full-time office role that requires no remote work and does not include working from home.
The contract length is 12 months.
Responsibilities:
1. To ensure the end-to-end processing of free-of-payment portfolio transfers for our private clients.
2. To coordinate with various assets, align them with all involved parties, and capture instructions, including monitoring successful settlement in global markets.
3. To receive and validate client settlement orders, process exceptions on settlement orders, and match Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI's) with asset transfer transactions for counterparty custodians.
4. To monitor, identify, and raise settlement fails on both position and cash sides, liaise with internal partners and external counterparties (e.g. custodian banks) to resolve breaks, issues, and queries.
5. To repair and release settlement instructions for custody transactions in various markets worldwide and manage clients' queries related to existing/potential transactions.
Skill and Experience Requirements:
1. 1-3 years of relevant experience in custody settlements.
2. A good understanding of securities markets, specifically the functions of a custodian.
3. Knowledge of SWIFT messaging, typically MT54x settlement instructions.
4. An understanding of securities markets, specifically the functions of a custodian bank.
5. Knowledge of Equities and Fixed Income products with an understanding of processing confirmations and settlements.
6. Profound experience in securities settlements (capturing, instructing & monitoring orders).
