Your Role
As the Hardware Team Leader, you will be part of the Design Organization (DOA PART-21J).
The hardware team covers Electronic Control Board Assembly (ECBA) level activities related to the H55 Electric Propulsion System performed at H55 HQ in Sion.
You will report to the Head of Design Organization.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Managing the Hardware Team (HW/ECBA): organizing and leading the team towards time, cost, and quality commitments.
* Providing clear direction and filtering requests to ensure alignment with objectives.
* Developing and maintaining the team: ensuring skills are coherent with needs and establishing training plans to enhance efficiency.
* Establishing a team growth roadmap and strategy to sustain H55 evolution expectations.
* Deploying resources daily to meet project and program needs.
* Establishing and monitoring team budgets.
* Facilitating efficient integration with interfaced teams.
* Providing reporting on team status to the Head of Product Development.
* Creating and ensuring the team follows standard processes and procedures, crucially as the company moves towards certification.
* Supporting product milestone reviews by providing expertise and experience.
* Conducting reviews of design data, analyses, and test procedures pertaining to new designs, methods, materials, and reports to ensure technical maturity and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Your Profile
You have demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in highly fast-changing environments.
Specifically, this includes:
* A university degree (minimum bachelor) in a relevant engineering discipline (HW and product development, Power Electronics, Energy Systems).
* Minimum +5 years of experience.
* Being a team player and able to lead by example.
* Making decisions rationally based on trade-offs between cost, time, quality, safety, and performance.
* Enabling team decisions and justifying them clearly, either internally to H55 or to external stakeholders.
* Thorough knowledge of the product and ECBA development engineering disciplines, to mentor and coach team members.
* Demonstrated experience and expertise as a team leader.
* Good understanding of aviation standards in the field of activity.
* BASIC understanding of EASA Part 21, EASA Certification Specifications, and certification principles.
* Experience working in Electrical Propulsion Systems (Propulsion unit and/or Energy storage is a plus).
* Knowledgeable on Aerospace processes & standards like ARP 4754, DO-254, CS23 or equivalent.
* Demonstrated success in working as a team player, capable of interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and skillsets.
* Resource management/Leadership skills.
* Target-oriented, with analytic problem-solving capabilities.
* Well organized including the ability to properly document.
* Capacity to prioritize, manage time effectively, and multi-task.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Fluency in English (oral and written), French is an asset.
