Secretariat is seeking a motivated and talented Intern to join our expanding practice. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to establishing our footprint in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. You will work closely with our experienced professionals on some of the largest and most complex cases, including Investor-State arbitration and large international commercial disputes. This role will expose you to unique, complex, and interesting issues, integrating valuation, finance, accounting, economics, as well as legal procedures and principles of damages.
Responsibilities
Assist in gathering and synthesizing financial and operating information about companies and industries.
Conduct economic and industry research to analyze business models and market trends.
Support the analysis of financial, operational, and macroeconomic information that helps value businesses.
Contribute to the creation of financial models and the development of key valuation parameters.
Collaborate with the team in drafting expert reports, memoranda, and presentations for clients, counsels, tribunals, and courts.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Valuation or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills, comfortable with large amounts of financial information and ability to effectively assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar situations.
A proactive and results-driven mindset, with the capacity to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues simply and effectively.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required. Basic German (B2 level) language skills are desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with financial tools such as Capital IQ, DealStats, or Bloomberg is a plus.
