Job Reference #305388BRCityZürich Job TypeFull Time Your roleIn this role you will be part of the Group External Communications team with a focus on Financial and Regulatory Communications. You will be working across a range of complex strategic topics, partnering with Group Finance and Governmental Affairs stakeholders as well as their respective senior executives to craft external communications strategies, drive communications around financial calendar milestones and implement media activities. With your work and collaboration in the team, you will be supporting the overall positioning of UBS across external stakeholder groups during a pivotal time for the bank. Your tasks and responsibilities will include: - Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, serving as an essential link between the media and the bank as well as the communications teams of government and regulatory bodies- Creating and driving communications plans for financial calendar milestones as well as regulatory matters related to the integration of Credit Suisse. These include UBS’s quarterly results, annual report, its annual general meeting and responses to government reports- Producing communications deliverables such as media releases, holding statements, Q&As and executive briefings and engaging with internal stakeholders to manage and drive deliverables forward- Handling media enquiries relating to financial communications as well as regulatory topics and supporting media stakeholders in understanding UBS’s equity story and narrativeYour Career ComebackWe are open to applications from career returners. Find out more about our program on ubs.com/careercomeback.Your teamThe Group External Communications team is a small and agile team that works closely with the bank’s leadership, teams in Communications & Branding, and other partners to design and implement the Group’s approach to reputation management. The team advises on and actively manages communications with global media organizations to promote and manage executive positioning, corporate, financial, and regulatory topics, as well as legal matters.Your expertise- At least 7 years of experience in media relations, investor relations or governmental affairs, advisory/consulting or journalism, preferably within or related to financial services- A strong understanding of the Swiss and international media environment, financial markets and regulatory developments as well as the related dynamics with various external stakeholder group- Full spoken and written fluency in English and German; additional languages would be of advantage- Strong written (including editing and proofreading), spoken and presentation skills- Project management skills and familiarization with tools such as Excel and PowerPoint- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to perform well in a diverse, multicultural organizationAbout usUBS is the world’s largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
