As a key player in this organization, you'll take ownership of some of the accounting functions within a finance team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in a fast-paced, international environment. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with deep expertise in financial accounting, particularly within multinational companies. Job DescriptionOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including monthly closings and reporting activities.Collaborate closely with the HR team to streamline payroll processes, providing all necessary accounting information for accurate and timely monthly payroll preparation.Take responsibility for full payroll accounting, from calculating accruals for bonuses and vacations to processing payroll-related invoices.Ensure accurate employee data management within company's database and systems, maintaining complete records of organizational changes.Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, as well as balance sheet reconciliations for all payroll-related accounts.Verify and process travel expense reports with precision and compliance.Lead or support initiatives aimed at improving finance processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.Assist in enforcing internal control standards (ICS) and in preparing for financial auditsBuild clear and proactive communication channels with internal and external stakeholders. The Successful ApplicantExperience: 5-7 years in accounting with international exposure; experience in Biotech, Life Sciences, or Pharma industries is highly valued.Technical Skills: Proven expertise in ERP systems, particularly in accounting project management (system implementations, migrations).Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, and Swiss regulatory requirements.Systems Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in ERP, accounting systems, and Excel, alongside other MS Office applications.Languages: Fluency in German and English is essential.Personal Attributes: Demonstrates high professionalism, confidentiality, organization, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
