Organization
As FPGA Development Engineer, you will be part of the FPGA team in the Technologies Department, reporting to the Head of FPGA Technologies. You will closely collaborate with your team members, other Technologies teams, Quality Engineering, Application Engineering, Technical Support and Training, and Sales at Speedgoat, MathWorks and other partner companies.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintain, update, and enhance the FPGA-based software products, such as I/O Configuration Packages, HDL I/O Blocksets, and HDL Coder Integration Packages.
Further develop and enhance automatic build and testing infrastructure to streamline release process for FPGA-based software products.
Develop and maintain reference designs for AMD-based FPGA I/O modules integrated into MathWorks HDL Coder and Simulink Real-Time products.
Develop new FPGA Code Module functionality (communication protocols, PWM, encoder measurement and emulation), RTOS drivers, and Simulink blocks as well as documenting and creating marketing material associated with it.
Benchmark and validate FPGA I/O modules and Code Module functionality.
Collaboration with MathWorks development teams and Application Engineers to improve combined workflows with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape and HDL Coder.
Qualification Requirements
Engineering degree in electrical or computer engineering, physics or similar.
Demonstrated experience with AMD-based FPGA designs.
Demonstrated experience with C++, MATLAB and ideally Simulink.
Passion to ensure quality and consistency.
Strong organizational skills and good team player.
Excellent written and spoken English.
