In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications and PC software. In a multidisciplinary team of electrical and software engineers, you will contribute to the maintenance of hardware components and software development of tools, including CI/CD pipelines. The developed tools are in use worldwide to support the entire lifecycle of all Sonova hearing instruments and products.
Your tasks
1. Support firmware developers in debugging problems with hardware and tools
2. Develop tools and testing environment related to hardware
3. Ensure that the various teams in Sonova R&D can use hardware for effective firmware testing
4. Coordinate the distribution of new hardware to various R&D teams globally
Your profile
5. Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
6. Experience with hardware and measurement equipment
7. Understanding of best practices and state-of-the-art in software development processes
8. Knowledge of PCB schematic design, Python, Groovy for tests and test environment
9. Experience with communication protocols and trace analysis is a plus
10. Experience in the context of embedded software development is a plus
11. Fluent in English; German is a plus
