STEP Software Developer (m/f) 80 - 100% MAIN TASKS The Product Data Management Applications department at Geberit is responsible for the company’s product data stack, ranging from single source of truth systems to APIs and front-end applications. The Data Factory team within PDM Applications runs and changes source systems to support business processes in terms of data maintenance, use of data, and its distribution. To strengthen our Data Factory team, we are looking for a new team member for the further development of Stibo Systems STEP, the Product Information Management system at Geberit. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver innovative solutions in a globally operating enterprise.
As a STEP Software Developer, you will be responsible for the following:
Gather and analyse business requirements to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into solution designs
Develop and implement tailored solutions in Stibo Systems STEP that incorporate seamlessly into the system
Build and maintain interfaces, ensuring solid integration with surrounding systems and services
Innovate – connect the dots and come up with proposals to improve our data management capabilities
Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders for effective change management and seamless integration into the process landscape
Provide data analysis expertise to ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality content across the system
Support business users with clear documentation, technical assistance, and troubleshooting
PROFILE As STEP Software Developer, you are characterised by the following:
Minimum 5 years of technical configuration experience in PIM / MDM systems, including Stibo Systems STEP
Strong technical skills, including experience with system integration, databases, data modelling, customization / configuration of applications, development of scripts
Experience in working with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML and XSLT
Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency in documenting, and strong coordination and collaboration skills
Agile mindset and experience in working with agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban
End-to-end thinking, taking the entire data journey into account for development
Engaging, proactive and organised personality
Strong communication skills in English, fluency in German is recommended
