For the Group Finance department in our head office in Lenzburg, Switzerland, we are looking for a:
Director Accounting Within the Hero Group Finance team, the Director Accounting takes on the responsibility to coordinate and manage the group-wide financial closing processes and helps the Company in resolving complex IFRS accounting topics.
With this role, you get the opportunity to take on broad responsibilities within the Group’s Finance function. You are interacting with group management and the finance managers of the subsidiaries. In your position, you are closely working together, and you are directly reporting to our Vice President Corporate Controlling, Tax & Treasury.
Your main responsibilities:
Functional leadership of group entities in relation to IFRS Accounting.
Coordinate and manage monthly and annual financial closing process: Coordinate the corporate reporting calendar defining deadlines for the monthly closing and the planning cycles;
Ensure timely monthly and annual financial closing processes in good quality;
Responsibility for all group accounting topics and adjustments;
Support subsidiaries in accounting and consolidation system questions;
Review and ensure good quality of monthly internal management reporting.
Coordinate and manage the reporting of the consolidated financial statements for the annual report of Hero Group.
Own and update the Hero IFRS Accounting Manual and resolve complex IFRS Accounting issues.
Coordinate the group audit with external auditors.
Own the functionality and develop system capability of the Hero Group consolidation system Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
Manage compliance with internal controls over financial reporting.
Onboard newly acquired subsidiaries to ensure compliance with Hero Group’s accounting and reporting processes.
Coordinate the review and proper accounting of the Group’s LTI plans.
Project management tasks to further develop the finance function.
Your profile:
Degree in Accounting / Controlling or Business Administration (CPA, ACCA or CIMA certification is preferred).
Profound experience in IFRS accounting in an international environment or within an accounting/auditing firm.
Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze financial data and to draw well-reasoned conclusions.
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and to write in a clear and succinct manner.
Hands-on mentality as well as being a good team player.
Ability to communicate complex accounting topics to non-accounting technical audiences.
Initiative and eagerness to further develop the areas of responsibility.
Good planning and organization skills to coordinate and keep track of different workstreams.
Fluent spoken and written English, German is a plus.
