Your role and responsibilities
Digitalization and IoT is driving the need for strong connectivity solution offering for our MOSD Drives portfolio. With the next generation control platform, we are introducing embedded ethernet fieldbus solutions where OPC UA is the strategic backbone. This role is aimed to ensure we collect the different external and internal requirements and have a clear marketing and sales story supporting the ease of integration statement. You are responsible to ensure the industrial ethernet and OPC UA solutions are in line with customer and market requirements and match the needs of the different segments. You will be collaborating with Sales, Product Management and R&D to ensure prioritization and drive the implementation forward. You will report to the Digital Lead, Motion System Drives. The work model for the role is: hybrid; #LI-Hybrid. The role is contributing to the Motion System Drives division globally. The ideal location for the role would be Germany (Mannheim) or Finland (Helsinki).
You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Product Development and Strategy: Defining the strategy and vision of the Industrial ethernet and OPC UA solutions for the Motion System Drives product portfolio.
2. Market and Customer Engagement: Actively collecting market, customer and internal requirements.
3. Roadmaps and prioritization: Managing the connectivity solutions roadmaps and setting priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders.
4. Coordination and Integration: Coordinating with product managers and development teams and supporting cross-divisional adoption.
5. Value proposition: Defining customer value proposition for each segment and channel, ensuring clear communication and positioning within the portfolio with specific values per offering line.
6. Marketing and Launch: Planning market launch and coordinating marketing activities with the Marketing team.
Qualifications for the role
* 5+ years of working experience with process industries (Oil and gas, metals, mining, chemical, cement).
* Strong experience in Ethernet based networks and protocols in particular with OPC UA is a must.
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Process engineering or related field.
* Proven technical product management experience, including the ability to collect customer needs, build roadmaps and define/prioritize requirements.
* Solid understanding of variable speed drives and the customer needs is a plus.
* Experience in design thinking and value proposition design process to discover and test new solutions.
* Ability to work independently.
* High level of organizational and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Fluent spoken and written English language skills.
