Job Summary: The Talent Development Manager creates a framework for performance management and talent development that is aligned to NEFCO’s vision and goals. This role builds awareness and alignment across the organization through the creation of programs and resources designed to develop and grow our championship team.
Job Duties
1. Designs the Talent Development strategy, process, programs, and resources
2. Creates a framework for assessing, managing and developing talent
3. Collaborates on projects within the talent space by directing initiatives that foster associate development, improved culture, and increased retention of current employees
4. Manages and develops the Performance Management strategy, process, and resources, utilizing appropriate cadence and format of assessments and feedback
5. Develops and oversees the process for managing high-performers through tailored development plans, career pathing, and succession planning
6. Develops and oversees the resources and process for developing low performers through the performance improvement process
7. Builds the Leadership Development Program identifying key areas and creating a solution for continued growth for all levels of leadership
8. Builds the Early Career Program to assist in the development of an internal pipeline of talent
9. Creates standardized guidelines for communication, engagement and development across departments in alignment with core values and mission
10. Collaborates with compensation team and leadership on career development and associate compensation programs
11. Develops talent management materials, such as branding / marketing materials for leadership development programs, welcome materials, process overviews, etc.
12. Assists in acquisition alignment including onboarding newly acquired associates and managing their experience as it relates to their career path with NEFCO
13. Creates key metrics that are designed to measure employee performance, development, and retention
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience building and administering talent development programs
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
5. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
8. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
9. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related field preferred
