Welcome to the Audi F1 Project, where we are embarking on a historic journey in the world of motorsport. From 2026, Audi will compete in the prestigious FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
Our team has two strategic locations, one in Neuburg, Germany, which is home to our state-of-the-art Motorsport Competence Center, and another in Hinwil, Switzerland, renowned for its innovative technologies and passion for racing.
The Power Unit will be developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil will focus on the development of the chassis and race operations. This collaboration brings together two teams under AUDI AG, creating a formidable factory team.

About the Role
We are looking for experienced mechanical and hydraulic Senior Systems Design Engineers to join our esteemed Systems Group at Sauber in Hinwil, Switzerland.
Your Mission
* Lead the design and development of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components for the racecar and associated R&D activities.
* Work on systems integration, steering, braking, fuel & cooling layouts, and ensure seamless Power Unit integration.
* Plan and oversee system testing on test rigs and the racecar, utilizing advanced simulation tools for performance optimization.
* Produce detailed CAD models, technical drawings (CATIA v6 / 3DExperience advantageous), and maintain technical documentation and standards compliance.
* Liaise closely with suppliers and various technical groups to ensure efficient and reliable designs.
* Analyse data to improve performance, leveraging simulation tools, and contribute to the continuous improvement of people & processes.
Your Profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* At least 8 years of experience in mechanical and/or hydraulics system design in a high-level motorsports environment, preferably in F1.
* Familiarity with FIA legality and homologation considerations for systems components.
* Proficiency in system simulation programming tools such as FEA, Matlab / Simulink, Amesim, Python.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills, with experience in managing and mentoring.
* Able to work efficiently under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility.
