In the role as a Flight System Architect, you bring proven experience in the ATM (Air Traffic Management) industry, with a solid understanding of SOA (service-oriented architecture) principles, paradigms, and best practices, along with experience integrating legacy applications and transforming traditional applications to services.
Responsibilities:
* Design solutions for all Flight functions of related system components, including coordination and planning of software integrations both internally and via third-party applications.
* Define, review, and validate the short, mid, and long-term target architectures of the Skyguide application landscape as a member of the System Architecture Board.
* Design, develop, and validate solution prototypes in a variety of environments to certify the accuracy and viability of designs and implementations.
* Model, maintain, and document all architectural artifacts and promote optimal levels of communication.
* Support the Flight-related product owners and subject matter experts to understand the domain needs and design appropriate solutions to fulfill these needs.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
* 10+ years of software engineering experience in a similar role in designing or developing application systems.
* Held architectural design roles, preferably as a system architect, with 5+ years of experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
* Proficient in English, both written and orally; good command of French and/or German is a plus.
