Corporate Communications Manager (M/F/D)
Tasks:
* S/he will support the Rare Disease Corporate Affairs lead with media relations, helping to provide counsel to the affiliates and the international regions including partner markets, European Region (EU) as well as assisting with responding to media inquiries and issues.
* Support the Rare Disease Corporate Affairs Lead in driving rare disease communication projects and programs that proactively position the client as a leader in rare disease
* Aid with the development and delivery of an integrated corporate affairs strategy that raises the profile of client's existing rare disease portfolio (FA, SMA, ALS)
* Assist with the development of compelling content as well as engagements needed to implement the corporate affairs strategy.
* Help develop, align and execute brand communications initiatives, including Company milestones, data readouts and congresses.
* Support driving the strategy and execution of communications initiatives to increase awareness and understanding of client’s rare disease portfolio
* Provide guidance to affiliates to drive local media engagement to support local outreach.
* Support execution of external global initiatives for communications to increase awareness and understanding of rare disease brands
* Provide guidance in executing communications to various external audiences across the region
* Work with the global teams to develop communication materials that can be tailored in local markets (press releases, Q&As, standby statements etc.).
Qualification:
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate and/or marketing communications roles
* Bachelor’s degree required ideally in communications, marketing, journalism or a degree in liberal arts or life sciences
* Native English speaker
* Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and high sense of urgency
* Communications agency and healthcare industry experience preferred
* Ability to understand scientific information and data and to communicate it in simple terms to external stakeholders
