Our client, a leading international player in the FMCG industry with modern offices in the Zurich area, is looking for a Retail Quality Manager (m/f/d) to start immediately in a 12-month assignment.
Given the circumstances and the order situation, there is an option for an extension or even a permanent position.
Job Description
The selected candidate will be setting up quality and safety standards, conducting audits, training staff, and managing compliance to ensure smooth store launches and ongoing operational excellence in the Asian region, by carrying out the following task areas:
Develops and implements quality manuals to standardize procedures and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Oversees audits, inspections, and non-conformance issues to enhance quality performance across regions.
Implements and monitors food safety programs, such as HACCP, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Manages food safety incidents and product recalls to protect consumer health and maintain brand integrity.
Conducts regular staff training to keep employees informed about best practices and regulatory changes.
Prepares reports on quality performance, identifies areas for improvement, and ensures continuous compliance.
The Successful Applicant
For this challenging and rewarding position, the ideal candidate must have:
Successfully completed academic degree (e.g. food science, food technology, or a related field).
Holding certifications in food safety management systems (such as HACCP or ISO 22000) is highly preferred.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality management within the food industry is required, with experience in system gastronomy or large-scale food production being a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic QMS, e-training systems and SAP systems is preferred.
Knowledge of compliance, related to all applicable Food Safety Management, e.g. HACCP, ISO 22000, is required.
Strong oral and written English skills.
Ability to appropriately communicate information to cross functional stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel - as required by the business partners.
