Job Description
A visionary Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) is sought to lead the strategy, implementation, and management of Aman's overall technology infrastructure. This senior executive role demands a strategic leader with a comprehensive understanding of advanced technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a unified technology strategy that supports business goals.
* Innovation: Identify and integrate innovative technologies to improve guest services, streamline operations, and drive revenue growth.
* IT Roadmap: Create and maintain an IT roadmap that ensures scalability and flexibility.
* Tech for Revenue and Efficiency: Utilize technology as a tool to drive revenue and efficiency, prioritizing usability and reliability.
Leadership and Team Development
* Lead and Inspire: Lead and inspire a geographically dispersed IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
* Talent Acquisition and Development: Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development.
* Mentorship: Conduct regular performance evaluations and mentoring to enhance team capabilities and performance.
* Culture Building: Inspire both direct reports and create a culture of excitement for the digital and technology journey ahead.
System and Infrastructure Management
* Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure across corporate offices and resorts, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance.
* Policies and Procedures: Standardize IT policies and procedures across the portfolio for consistency and compliance.
* Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to guarantee high-quality service and support.
* Analysis: Take an analytical approach to the current and future state of infrastructure.
Project Management and Implementation
* Project Leadership: Lead and oversee major technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and without budget overruns.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with hotel management teams to identify technology needs and opportunities for operational improvements.
* Rollout and Adoption: Ensure the successful rollout and adoption of new technologies across all properties.
Budget and Financial Management
* IT Budgeting: Develop and manage the IT budget for the group, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses for technology investments and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
* Expenditure Control: Monitor and control IT expenditures to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
* Enhancing Guest Experience: Enhance the guest experience through technology, leveraging data analytics to understand guest behavior and preferences.
Compliance and Risk Management
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and internal policies across all corporate offices and resorts.
* Security Policies: Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect data and systems.
* Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate technology-related risks to ensure robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
Qualifications
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
* Digital Platforms Expertise: Expertise in digital platforms, services, and products, covering all internal and externally focused digital aspects of the company.
* Enterprise IT Proficiency: Proficiency in enterprise IT, with experience in managing internally focused hardware and software designed to meet the demands of day-to-day operations, including infrastructure and cybersecurity.
* Data Analytics: Advanced skills in data and analytics, including applications of enterprise data, data mining, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling to enhance insights.
* Global Technology Management: Experience managing technology across multiple locations, ideally globally and/or within the hospitality industry, is highly desirable.
* Emerging Technologies: Extensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
* Hospitality Technology: Experience with property management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other hospitality technologies is essential.
* Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and develop a large, geographically dispersed IT team, are essential.
* Problem-Solving and Communication: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, are necessary to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
