The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer behaviour, brand positioning and the ability to drive growth in a competitive market. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking and leadership to ensure that the gum brands exceed category growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies for the gum portfolio, aligning with overall business objectives
* Conduct market research in collaboration with Center of Excellence analysing and identifying opportunities for brand growth and differentiation
* Responsible for portfolio health (Core + NPD) ensuring offers are aligned to consumer needs and profitability expectations
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Sales) as well as other markets, Regional Marketing and Group Marketing to create successful launches that address consumer needs and are aligned with brand strategy
* Develop, plan, execute and monitor integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social media, in-store, etc.) to drive brand awareness and consumer engagement
* Work closely with promo and media agencies to produce impactful marketing activation programs and materials
* Manage the budget for the gum portfolio, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI
* Analyze sales data, market share, and consumer feedback to measure brand performance and inform strategic decisions
* Lead innovation initiatives to develop new products or improve existing product based on consumer insights and market trends
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (sales, finance, trade marketing) and external partners (media, creative and research agencies)
* Present brand strategies and performance updates to senior management and key stakeholders at local and regional level
* Provide guidance to the Junior Brand Manager by leading, coaching and mentoring
Key Competencies:
* Ability to develop and execute long-term brand strategies that align with business goals
* Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and make data-driven decisions
* Ability to create compelling marketing materials and persuasive presentations
* Proficiency in developing creative solutions to complex brand challenges and a keen eye for emerging trends and consumer preferences with the ability to translate these into actionable brand initiatives
* Deep understanding of consumer behavior and the ability to anticipate and respond to consumer needs
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
* 6-8 years of experience in brand management, preferably within the FMCG sector
* Proven track record of successful brand strategy development and execution
* Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and data analysis
* Proficiency in media planning (traditional media, digital marketing, including social)
* Fluent in English, German as mother tongue or at least a C2-level is mandatory!
