Your role and responsibilities
The Portfolio & Value Pricing Manager is part of the global Robotics Commercial & Pricing Excellence organization with the primary role to drive the portfolio price strategy, price setting, price positioning and pricing structure for new and current offerings (products, options and standardized function packages/cells) with a value-based approach and in close collaboration with the Portfolio and Product Managers and the global Business Line M&S and Segment leadership to ensure pricing strategies align with business objectives and market conditions. The preferred candidate is located in a European or Asian time zone. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Value-based pricing: Drives the development and application of value-based pricing concepts across the Robotics business and ensures that this translates into value-based selling success.
2. Pricing of the RO offering: Global owner of process and approach to define the portfolio pricing strategy, product price setting and pricing positioning as well as global list and reference prices of new and current offerings (Products, Options, Solutions) in an industry-leading way.
3. Price positioning: Ensure the Robotics’ offering pricing is aligned with our pricing strategy and the price positioning is coherent across the portfolio.
4. Pricing structure: Responsible to define the optimal pricing structure to realize our strategic goals.
5. Global Price List: Owner of the Global Price List and related concepts. Drive process for regular price list revisions and propose GLP adjustments to the Division Pricing Council.
6. Support to PM: Primary point of contact for Portfolio and Product Management on all pricing-related topics. Own communication to all relevant stakeholder groups on decided pricing and discount strategies.
7. Training: Train all relevant stakeholders in key pricing, and VBP/VBS concepts as they relate to this area.
Qualifications for the role
* Min. Bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s degree) in Engineering, Business, Finance, Marketing or similar field.
* Extensive knowledge of the Robotics industry, customers and offering with solutions/products/options.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant, transferable role and function with a proven track record of creating tangible impact.
* Experience in B2B price management in the Robotics or similar type industry preferred.
* Expertise with state-of-the-art pricing methods and tools preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skill to persuade and engage people across multiple functions and geographies.
* Ability to deal with complex, global context of a large multinational.
