PhD student in Computational Protein Design research at Bern University Hospital
We are looking for a PhD student to join the Translational Hormone Research Group at University of Bern. We are an international and dynamic team located in the city of Bern, the capital of Switzerland. One of our research areas is molecular biology and biochemistry of human redox proteins. We are interested in computational redesign of human P450 reductase to improve efficiency and stability.
We offer a stimulating international working environment, state-of-the-art facilities and an integrative training, including molecular biology techniques, bioinformatic tools, and cell biological assays. University Children’s Hospital Bern is part of the medical faculty of the University of Bern. Research laboratories are also part of the Department of Clinical Research of the University of Bern (http://www.dkf.unibe.ch).
The position is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, available with a negotiable starting date, and offered for three years. The PhD student salary is according to the scale of the Swiss National Science Foundation (Currently CHF 47000-50000 /year).
