Overview Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with experience in Procurement of Construction Contracts on Fast Track projects?We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior Procurement Contracts Manager to join our growing team. With excellent people skills, you have a proven ability to work in partnership at all levels. This role will be based in Basel, Switzerland, with hybrid working arrangements available. Working as part of Procurement function and Project teams and reporting to the Head of Commercial Services the role will be responsible for the Procurement Construction Contracts on Fast Track projects. Responsibilities Sourcing and Pre-Qualification of Contractors Preparation and issue of tenders Commercial evaluation of tenders Chairing clarification meetings Leading commercial negotiations Preparing recommendation reports for Client approval Preparing and updating Procurement Strategies Preparing and updating Procurement Reports Preparation of Contract Documents Monitor contractors performance and drive improvement Contract Management support during the construction phase Cost Control: Coordinate cost control activities, including budget preparation, forecasting, and management of project expenditures and financial reporting Risk Management: Identify potential procurement risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement risk assessment and mitigation procedures Management: Lead procurement and project control team Qualifications10+ years of related experience in and a proven track record of large scale EPCM projects, in various global locations. Strong knowledge of the local contractor and procurement market for DACH. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Engineering Detailed knowledge of tendering and contract management methods and procedures in the DACH region Strong legal grounding in construction contracts Experience of the main forms of Contract in addition to bespoke forms High level of skill to evaluate bids and compile reports for use in determining successful offer Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prepare and maintain complex records and files in an automated system Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to quickly build relationships with relevant parties Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple requests from across several areas Strong sense of customer focus and teamwork Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative under minimal supervision Proficient in the use of Excel, and other Office software Professional working proficiency in English and German language Why PM Group?As an employee-owned company, we are inclusive, committed and driven.
