At SoHHytec, we are committed to turning the fuel of the future—Hydrogen—into a reality today. Our vision is to realize a sustainable hydrogen economy. We have developed an advanced system which utilizes SoHHytec’s patented technology to convert sunlight and produce Hydrogen, Electricity and Heat at the same time achieving system efficiency as high as 85%.
We are looking for motivated Engineers to join us for our activities on solar fuel and power production using concentrated sunlight.
Key Responsibilities:
* Simulation: Conduct CFD, FEM and other simulations for heat transfer, fluid flow and structural analysis, and optical systems.
* Mechanical Design & CAD Modeling: Develop mechanical designs and familiar with 3D modeling.
* Manufacturing Support: Handling interactions with the suppliers and for manufacturing processes, oversee prototyping efforts and ensure designs are practical and feasible for manufacturing.
* Operation: Operate, troubleshoot, and further develop our demonstration pilot. You’ll work directly with our technology, gaining hands-on experience with photoelectrical and electrochemical systems.
* Research and Development Assistance: Participate in various research studies, including materials selection, testing procedures, bonding and assembling components and choosing components and instruments to optimize our technology.
Qualifications:
* Education: Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or other related field.
* Experience: 3+ years in industrial design especially with electrochemical devices or systems such as PEM Electrolyzers or Fuel-Cells.
* Proficient in designing mechanical systems, with knowledge of simulation tools and standards.
* Familiarity with programming languages.
* Familiarity with optics and optical design is a plus.
* Familiarity with LabVIEW systems is a plus.
* Desire to Innovate: Interest in renewable technologies and eagerness to work with hydrogen production technologies is essential.
* Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Strong troubleshooting skills, with a collaborative mindset to work with a multidisciplinary team.
* Legal authorization to work in Switzerland.
