As part of a strategic project for one of our key clients, Akkodis is recruiting a Firmware Engineer specializing in satellite systems to work on Proof of Concept development and advanced prototypes. In this role, you will design firmware architecture, select hardware components, and develop cutting-edge embedded solutions for payloads, microcontrollers, and communication protocols.
You will collaborate closely with the hardware team, defining specifications, debugging, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Design and develop the firmware architecture for satellite embedded systems.
* Participate in the selection of electronic components in collaboration with the hardware team.
* Implement and optimize control and regulation algorithms.
* Develop communication protocols tailored to space environments.
* Write technical specifications (SPEC) for firmware.
* Perform debugging of embedded systems in close collaboration with hardware engineers.
Required Skills and Experience
* Engineering degree in electronics, embedded systems, or a related field.
* Proven experience in firmware development for space or critical applications.
* Proficiency in C programming and embedded system constraints.
* Strong knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded architectures.
* Experience with communication protocols (CAN, SPI, UART, I2C, etc.).
* Good understanding of payloads and system regulation.
* Ability to collaborate with hardware engineers to define specifications and optimize performance.
* Analytical mindset, autonomy, and a passion for innovation.
