In line with Holcim’s Group Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Strategy- Ambition “0”, the Process Safety Manager leads the process safety management initiative at the Group level. The Process Safety Manager is accountable for overseeing the development of a new PSM framework, related standards, tools and supporting material and effectively rolling out and implementing them at the country level.
MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the Process Safety Management (PSM) program at the Group level, integrating the ACert (Alternative Fuel Certification) program, and exiting Group PSM program into one single framework of program that is fit for all business segments
2. Liaise with other functions, operations and SMEs to leverage all existing initiatives into a simplified format
3. Partner with process safety experts internal and external to further develop the PSM program and continuously improve the program and toolkits
4. Develop and implement digital PSM app to carry out PSM annual assessments, pre-qualification of assets & materials and serve as single point of data depository
5. Manage and further develop the current PSM program focused on traditional fuels, alternative fuels and raw material, pressure systems, and fire safety management
6. Be an advisor to the Group HSE and support functions by building and fostering a deep understanding of the operational hazards & risks in line with PSM concepts, industry standards and best practices focused on PSM
7. Monitor and audit PSM and related processes and activities to ensure strict governance, the effectiveness of the program and implementation, and provide a regular update to the Group HSE leadership team
8. Roll out tools, training and simplify risk management process to ensure that all workers understand the hazards associated with their task and workplace and can effectively utilize PSM Controls to reduce the risk at their tasks/workplace
PROFILE REQUIRED
Level of education/qualifications normally required:
9. Degree in Engineering
10. Preferred qualification of Process Safety and Loss Prevention
Specific work experience:
11. 10 years operational experience as a process safety engineer or manager
12. Preferred experience from process, chemical or civil engineering background
13. HAZOP - Hazard and Operability Studies
14. ATEX - Atmospheric Explosion Regulation
15. EX - Explosive atmosphere
16. Risk Assessment
17. QRA - Quantitative Risk Assessment
18. HAZID - Hazard identification
19. DSEAR - Dangerous substance and explosive atmosphere regulation
Behavioural competencies:
20. Ability to partner with country leadership teams and influence senior executives
21. Strong skills in influencing, managing conflicts, communication, networking and change management
22. Analytical skills and ability to report and manage data
Language skills:
23. Fluent in written and spoken English.
Mobility requirements:
24. 25-30% International travel
