Michael Bailey Associates is looking for a Data Scientist for one of our clients in Zurich
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models to address credit risk and fraud prevention challenges
* Deliver in-depth reports, analyses, and modeling to support and guide the decision-making of various business units
* Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, sharing your expertise and analytical insights to drive innovative solutions
* Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of in-house analytics tools and assist in the expansion of the technological infrastructure
Qualifications and Skills
* A completed university degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, etc)
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong conceptual mindset
* Advanced proficiency in Python and its associated libraries, such as Numpy, Pandas, as well as machine learning frameworks like Scikit-learn and PyTorch
* In-depth understanding of database management systems and SQL
* Practical experience in areas such as payment systems, credit risk modeling, and fraud prevention will be considered a plus
* Experience in software development practices, particularly with Git and CI/CD processes, is advantageous
* Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with various departments and stakeholders
* Fluency in both German and English is required, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in both languages
