We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our highly energetic and driven team. If you enjoy working in an agile environment with appropriate methods, are passionate about modern QM methods and building things from a green field and not only to manage the status quo, and you are willing to travel 50% within Switzerland weekly, then this may be the right opportunity for you.
The Impact
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Microcaps, you will be responsible for internal & external processes, interfaces, and production:
Development, implementation, and maintenance of a modern and applicable Quality Management System (QMS) that is in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22716 and other relevant standards of cosmetics manufacturing.
Project management in the development of our main value streams (product development, manufacturing & delivery)
Engaging employees through training to promote quality awareness and adherence to quality standards (GMP guidelines)
Empowering employees for independent and effective implementation of improvement measures (PDCA)
Planning and conducting internal and external audits
Conducting supplier qualification
Monitoring the quality management of our Swiss & international suppliers
Developing and managing interface processes with suppliers and customers
Ensuring the quality of work instructions, manufacturing regulations, and specifications
Managing and conducting internal quality controls
Managing quality deviations (OOS) and recalls, and controlling the associated root cause analysis, including corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with the relevant departments
Supporting the quality system for infrastructure, hygiene & occupational safety at the main site as well as with suppliers
Managing and participating in improvement projects (PDCA as well as DMAIC, etc.) of our cutting-edge production plants
This role is a good fit if you: Have a university degree (Bachelor/Master) in food/cosmetic technology, biology, or chemistry
Have 5+ years of professional experience in quality management, preferably in cosmetics manufacturing
Have a committed personality with good communication & conflict resolution skills and high social competence to work effectively with various stakeholders
Have change management skills
Have very good analytical skills and interconnected thinking
Excellent German (C1) and very good English (B2) skills, both written and spoken
Have in-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards, particularly ISO 22716, and experience in the practical implementation of these standards. Knowledge of food and/or cosmetic-related microbiology is a significant advantage
Knowledge of agile methods
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio skills
You enjoy the collaboration with internal and external interfaces as well as collaborating with Swiss and international customers and suppliers
