We are looking for an experienced BESS Project Engineer to lead the technical design and optimization of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading renewable energy company and play a key role in shaping the future of energy storage.
Your main responsibilities:
* Develop technical designs for BESS projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and grid requirements.
* Assess design packages and identify technical risks and opportunities during investment and M&A phases.
* Support the Technical Lead with analysis, recommendations, and engagement with suppliers and contractors.
* Monitor market trends and evaluate new technologies for future project optimization.
* Act as a key liaison between technical, commercial, and operations teams.
Your profile:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in renewable energy system design, with at least 2 years focused on BESS projects.
* Strong knowledge of BESS design, industry standards (IEC 62933, UL 9540), and relevant software tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB, PSS/E, HOMER).
* Ability to assess risks and evaluate system performance.
* Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
* Proficient in English; German or French is a plus.
