Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Grains Trader specializing in the Black Sea region to expand our presence and drive business growth for a well-established trading house in Switzerland.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Conduct market research and analysis on global trends for wheat, corn, barley, rapeseeds, soybeans, DDGS, and sunflower seeds.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of price movements and supply-demand dynamics for these specific commodities.
3. Execute purchase and sale transactions in both domestic and international markets.
4. Negotiate contract terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and buyers.
6. Implement and manage risk management strategies using derivatives, futures, and other financial instruments.
7. Coordinate logistics efforts to ensure timely and efficient movement of commodities.
8. Record and report all trading activities while ensuring regulatory compliance.
9. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market presence.
Key Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
2. 3-5 years of experience in grains trading.
3. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex market data.
4. Proficiency in risk management techniques and financial instruments.
5. Understanding of global grains markets, supply chain logistics, and regulatory environments.
6. Proficiency in trading software, financial modeling, and market analysis tools.
7. Fluency in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
