The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and leader of the Olympic Movement, a truly global organisation acting as catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners, and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the Olympic Movement within the IOC as a Research & Insights Manager. In this role, you will build a deep understanding and knowledge of the Olympic brand, audiences and market trends, collaborating with external and internal partners to produce best-in-class consumer research projects.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Design, manage and execute quantitative and qualitative consumer research projects, identify relevant market trends and consumer behaviours, and translate insights into actionable recommendations;
2. Deliver impactful reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate key information and results;
3. Increase storytelling and deliver clear actionable insights on key issues and opportunities, inform meaningful decision-making;
4. Shape Olympic brand and marketing strategies by conducting comprehensive consumer and market research projects to strengthen brand positioning and engagement;
5. Be instrumental in design and execution of Games-time research programmes, particularly delivery of athlete, spectator and Olympic fan research projects;
6. Support Research & Insights team implementing post-Games and in-between-Games consumer-, brand-and sponsor-related studies ensuring research needs are met;
7. Support people-centric product development gathering input and feedback from users through usability testing, user research and customer service translating this into actionable insights;
8. Manage partner agencies ensuring timely delivery of projects, relevance, accuracy and alignment of deliverables with IOC's needs and standards;
9. Produce deep-dive reports combining various sources of information on specific themes or campaigns;
10. Answer information requests about specific topics in a timely manner;
11. Enable Research & Insights team operate as competency centre for the whole organisation, becoming strategic partner for Marketing, Digital and Olympic Games teams amongst others.
Requirements:
1. Significant business experience in consumer research, business intelligence or marketing;
2. University master's degree in business, marketing, advertising or related field;
3. Work experience in international, multicultural and multilingual environment;
4. Excellent knowledge and command of MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
5. Ease with data visualisation software products such as Power BI;
6. English fluency, French is a plus;
7. Excellent communicator and proven interpersonal skills including clear presentation skills comfortable briefing senior stakeholders and management;
8. Ability to interpret data help inform content production audience development and business decisions;
