Professor for High Performance Computing
We are looking for a motivated individual to establish and lead the new High Performance Computing (HPC) area at FHNW and to represent it both internally and externally. Key responsibilities include:
* Teaching: Contributing to the new AI & HPC course within the Computer Science program. Developing curriculum content, delivering lectures and advising students throughout their studies.
* Research and development: Building the HPC research area by leveraging existing expertise and projects, acquiring and managing research projects, and supervising research staff.
* Institutional development: Actively participating in the strategic development of the University and building partnerships with industry.
Your profile
* A PhD in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
* Proven experience in high performance computing and relevant professional practice, with project management experience
* Passion for teaching and interest in modern learning formats, including AI-driven didactics
* Strong communication skills, collaborative spirit, creativity and an innovative mindset
* Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration in research and teaching
* A teaching qualification or the motivation to obtain one as part of your professional development
